There are now 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brock Township.
The update Tuesday (July 14) from the Durham Region Health Department notes that the resident involved in the latest case is in home isolation, while the 10 other cases have been resolved.
Five of the cases were related to facility outbreaks with four attributed to contact with a confirmed case and two others – including the most recent case – linked to community transmission.
Overall, there have been 1,759 confirmed cases in Durham – 584 in Pickering, 464 in Ajax, 277 in Oshawa, 196 in Whitby, 105 in Uxbridge, 102 in Clarington, 20 in Scugog and the 11 in Brock Township.
A total of 54 residents are in home isolation. None are currently hospitalized.
A total of 181 deaths – including 152 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 1,542 cases have been resolved, which represents 87 per cent of the total.
