Two men were rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in Oshawa Monday (July 6) night.
According to the DRPS, officers were called to the intersection of Britannia Avenue West and Kentucky Derby Way around 7:15 p.m.
“Witnesses called 911 after a motorcycle with two occupants lost control and left the roadway,” reads a media release.
“The two riders were ejected from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries.”
The driver – a 21-year-old Oshawa man – was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious life-threatening injuries.
His passenger – a 23-year-old Oshawa man who was not wearing a helmet – was rushed to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
“Both males remain in hospital with serious injuries in stable condition,” the media release reads.
The intersection was closed for several hours for the police investigation.
