Man charged with assault following disturbance at Lindsay restaurant

A man has been charged with assault following a disturbance in the parking lot of a restaurant in Lindsay.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers were called the restaurant – on Kent Street West – shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday (June 29).

“When officers arrived, they were informed that a man had just kicked the front grill of a parked vehicle, before also kicking the owner of the vehicle in the leg,” reads a media release.

“The man then left the parking lot but was located by police later in the evening.”

Uve Potisepp, 48, of Lindsay has been charged with assault.

He is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Aug. 20.
