Lindsay assault victim allegedly struck in the head several times with a rock

A dispute between two men at a home in Lindsay resulted in one man being taken to hospital and the other being taken to jail.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers responded to the home shortly after 8 a.m. Friday (June 26) and found one man with an injury to his head.

“The victim alleged he was struck in the head several times with a rock by another man who was still at the home,” reads a media release.

John Tyler Stevens, 40, of Lindsay was arrested at the scene and has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

He is slated to appear in Lindsay court on Aug. 20.
