
Two people face charges after police allegedly seized a “large amount of cocaine” in Orillia earlier this week.
On Wednesday (June 25), at approximately 6:40 p.m., Orillia OPP executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a Shannon Street residence in the city.
In addition to the cocaine, police say they seized cash and other items consistent with drug trafficking as a result of the search.
Jason Kinnear, 31, of Orillia has been arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a Schedule I substance, and
possession of property obtained by crime.
Amber Cobbe, 35, of Orillia was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a Schedule I Substance.
Both suspects were released on an undertaking and are set to appear in court on Aug. 18.
