
A 73-year-old Orillia man was charged with impaired driving after police received a complaint from a concerned citizen.
According to the OPP, officers received a call reporting that a male was driving and that it was suspected that he was under the influence of drugs early Tuesday (June 16).
“A detailed description was given and police located the vehicle, a short time later, driving northbound on Highway 11 in Orillia,” reads a media release.
“The vehicle was stopped and an impaired driving investigation ensued. “
Leslie Gomes has been charged with operation while impaired – drugs.
He was release on an undertaking and is slated to appear in Orillia court on Aug. 11.
