There are now 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brock Township.
The update Friday (June 12) from the Durham Region Health Department notes that the residents involved in two cases are in home isolation, while eight cases have been resolved.
Five of the cases are related to facility outbreaks with four – including the most recent – attributed to contact with a confirmed case and another linked to community transmission.
Overall, there have been 1,624 confirmed cases in Durham – 538 in Pickering, 418 in Ajax, 259 in Oshawa, 186 in Whitby, 101 in Uxbridge, 94 in Clarington, 18 in Scugog and the 10 in Brock Township.
A total of 124 residents are in home isolation, with 10 currently hospitalized.
A total of 178 deaths – including 150 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 1,312 cases have been resolved, which represents 81 per cent of the total.
