Police are searching for suspects after a group of teens allegedly assaulted two people during a confrontation in Lindsay.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, a man parked his vehicle on Victoria Avenue – near Kent Street West – around 10 p.m. Tuesday (June 10) to pick up a family member.

“As he waited, the man was approached by a group of six to seven teenage males.  A confrontation erupted between the man and the group, and the man was assaulted,” reads a media release.

“The man’s family member arrived during the assault and attempted to intervene but she was also assaulted.  The two victims were taken to hospital for treatment of their minor injuries.”
