There are now seven confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brock Township.
The update Saturday (May 30) from the Durham Region Health Department notes that the residents involved in four cases are in home isolation, while three cases have been resolved.
Four are related to facility outbreaks, with the remaining three attributed to contact with a confirmed case.
There have been no confirmed cases of community transmission thus far.
Overall, there have been 1,449 confirmed cases in Durham – 504 in Pickering, 377 in Ajax, 235 in Oshawa, 145 in Whitby, 85 in Clarington, 81 in Uxbridge, 15 in Scugog and the seven in Brock Township.
A total of 133 residents are in home isolation, with 24 currently hospitalized.
A total of 174 deaths – including 148 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
A total of 1,118 cases have been resolved, which represents 77 per cent of the total.
