Driver of dirt bike sought after woman allegedly assaulted in Lindsay

Police are searching for the driver of a dirt bike that allegedly assaulted a woman as she walked along a path in Lindsay.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, the incident occurred just before 2 p.m. Wednesday (May 27) as the woman walked on the path between the Lindsay Recreation Centre and Fleming College.

“The woman noticed a dirt bike approaching her, pull over, off the path and stop on to the grass to let her walk by,” reads a media release.

“After the woman walked past the dirt bike, the driver turned the machine around and approached the woman from behind. As the dirt bike travelled past the woman, the driver slapped the woman on the buttocks and sped away.”

The dirt bike was described as red and white in colour, possibly a Honda 250CRF or a similar style.
