
A 28-year-old from Aurora was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with multiple serious, life-threatening injuries after a collision in Uxbridge over the weekend.
On Saturday (May 23), at approximately 3:50 p.m., emergency services were called to Regional Road 8 near Concession Road 3 in Uxbridge Township regarding a two-vehicle collision.
According to police, a westbound motorcycle had struck the back of a westbound vehicle, which had reportedly slowed down to allow another vehicle to turn into a driveway.
After striking the back of the vehicle, police say the motorcyclist lost control and slid into a ditch.
The motorcyclist was rushed to Uxbridge Cottage Hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre. No other injuries were reported.
