Peterborough man pronounced dead at hospital following collision

A 32-year-old man from Peterborough is dead following a collision over the weekend.

According to the OPP, the man was driving a motorcycle on Northey’s Bay Road around 2:45 p.m, Saturday (May 16) and failed to negotiate a turn, leading to the collision.

“The driver of the motorcycle was transported by air ambulance to a Toronto area hospital with life-threatening injuries,” reads a media release.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Maury McCrillis.

“The cause of the collision remains under investigation,” reads the media release.
