
An Oshawa man is facing three charges following a single-vehicle collision in Kawartha Lakes over the long weekend.
According to the OPP, the collision occurred at the intersection of Valentia Road and Little Britain Road on Saturday (May 16).
“On arrival, the officer noted a vehicle in the ditch and an investigation was initiated,” reads a media release.
The driver, 29-year-old Nathan Nieuwhof, was subsequently charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), driving while under suspension and driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
He is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on July 23.
