
An Orillia man is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop in the city.
According to the OPP, officers were on patrol on Crawford Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday (May 13) when they reportedly spotted a traffic violation.
“After stopping the vehicle and speaking with the driver, the officers initiated an impaired driving investigation and the male was subsequently arrested,” reads a media release.
Michael Jason Cook, 48, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus).
He is slated to appear in Orillia court on July 21.
