A woman has been charged after allegedly yelling racial slurs at a cashier and then spitting on the counter of a retail business in Bobcaygeon.

According to the OPP, the incident occurred on May 10.

“Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP responded to the call and learned that a customer became agitated when dealing with the cashier, yelling racial slurs and then spitting on the counter,” reads a media release.

“Investigation resulted in the officers identifying the person and then locating the suspect.”

Michelle Wright, 33, has been charged with mischief.

She is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on July 16.
