
While provincial parks are re-opening this week, conservation areas surrounding Brock Township continue to be closed until further notice.
An update from the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority on Sunday (May 10) notes that its conservation areas – including the Beaver River Wetlands and Durham Regional Forest – remain closed to residents.

Kawartha Conservation also announced in a social media post Monday (May 11) that its conservation areas are closed for the time being.
“Staff are currently working on a plan to re-open conservation areas to ensure visitors and staff are safe and appropriate social distancing measures are in place. We hope to announce the timing of re-opening later this week,” a subsequent post reads.
