Uxbridge man charged in connection with 29 break-ins across York and Peel regions

An Uxbridge man has been charged in connection to 29 commercial break-ins across York and Peel regions.

According to the York Regional Police, officers investigating a series of 10 similar commercial break and enters that occurred in Markham between September 2019 and March 2020 determined the incidents were committed by the same suspect.

On Tuesday (May 5), officers responded to reports of five separate break-and-enter incidents in Richmond Hill.

“Following the incidents, a suspect was arrested. A search warrant was executed at his residence and evidence was obtained linking the suspect to a total of 21 break and enters in York Region as well as eight incidents in Peel Region,” reads a media release.

Camren Phon, 29, has been charged with 29 counts of break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of breach of probation.
