
More than 60 percent of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Durham have been resolved according to an update Friday (May 8).
Of the 1,139 cases confirmed throughout the region, a total of 707 have been resolved.
There have been 429 cases in Pickering, 290 in Ajax, 192 in Oshawa, 108 in Whitby, 70 in Clarington, 37 in Uxbridge, 10 in Scugog and three in Brock Township.
A total of 246 residents are in home isolation, with 46 currently hospitalized.
A total of 140 deaths – including 121 at long-term care and retirement homes – have been attributed to COVID-19.
