Pair facing charges after police allegedly seize handgun, cash

Two people have been charged after a police investigation into a single vehicle collision on Friday (May 1) allegedly resulted in a handgun and large sum of cash being seized.

Upon arrival at the scene of the collision, which occurred on Highway 35 near Kawartha Lakes Road 121, officers determined that the two occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene.

“Through police investigation, the suspects were located and arrested,” reads a media release.

Antonio Terreri, 20, of North York has been charged with unauthorized possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm; possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm; occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm; obstruct peace officer; and careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.

He is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on July 9.

Scott MacCrimmon, 29, of Mississauga has been charged with unauthorized possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm; possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm; occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm; fail to comply with court order – other than to attend court; and careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.

He was held pending a bail hearing Monday (May 4).
