Woman charged with first degree murder after police execute search warrant in Ramara

A suspect in a Richmond Hill murder on Christmas Eve of 2018 has been arrested after police executed a search warrant at a home in Ramara Township.

According to the York Regional Police, officers responded to Barnwood Drive, in the area of Bayview Avenue and Stouffville Road, after several calls came in reporting sounds of gunshots on Dec. 24, 2018.

The victim – 33-year-old Soheil Rafipour of Toronto – later died in hospital.

Two suspects (Mohamad El-Zahawi, 38 of Toronto and Abdelaziz Ibrahim, 23, of Hamilton) were arrested and charged with first degree murder back in March, with a third (Thomas Sliwinski, 41, of Brantford) arrested early last week.

On Thursday (April 30), officers executed the search warrant in Brechin and arrested a fourth person in relation to the case.
