Oshawa man charged with stunt driving following traffic complaint in Kawartha Lakes

A 30-year-old motorist from Oshawa has been charged with stunt driving after police in Kawartha Lakes received a traffic complaint.

According to the OPP, officers responded to the report of an agressive driver on Thursday (April 30).

“The vehicle was located on Highway 35 near Golf Course Road, travelling at 133 km/h in an 80-km/h zone and was subsequently stopped,” reads a media release.

The driver was charged with drive motor vehicle – stunt driving.

“As a result of the interaction the driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was towed from the scene to be impounded for seven days,” the media release reads.

The motorist is slated to appear in Lindsay court on July 23.
