Many residents of Bobcaygeon nursing home clear of COVID-19 following retesting

Following public health’s retesting of residents earlier this week, I am pleased to report that many of our residents have tested negative for COVID-19. We are currently in the process of reaching out to families individually to update them on the status of their loved one. This news is uplifting for our staff who continue to dedicate their time and compassion to the care and comfort of our residents.

Yesterday, public health updated their data with respect to the number of deaths at Pinecrest. In collaboration with provincial officials, the total number of deaths has decreased by one. If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit.

On Wednesday, Bobcaygeon’s Town Crier came to the home to honour and salute our frontline staff and I have included a link to the video below. We are so grateful for moments like these as the support of the community truly gives us the strength to keep moving forward.

As a reminder, we have transitioned to sending out our daily updates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We will communicate as needed if there are urgent updates regarding the status of our home or our residents.
