Man charged with impaired driving following collision in Ramara

An 18-year-old driver from Rama First Nations has been charged with impaired driving following a collision Thursday (April 23).

According to the OPP, the collision occurred on Rama Road in Ramara and was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m.

“Two occupants were seen fleeing the scene. After a short period of time, the two occupants were located,” reads a media release.

“The driver of the motor vehicle was transported by County of Simcoe Paramedic Services to an Orillia area hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. The passenger sustained no injuries.”

Dakota Middleton-Greer has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, fail to stop after accident and take motor vehicle without consent.

He is slated to appear in Orillia court on June 30.
