A 57-year-old man from Kawartha Lakes has been charged with second degree murder following an incident Tuesday (April 21).

According to the OPP, officers responded to a 911 call from a home on Valley Road and located a deceased man outside.

The victim has been identified as 73-year-old Glen Mark.

With the assistance of the OPP’s Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team, a suspect was taken into custody.

Richard Brachman, 57 has been charged with second degree murder.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing Wednesday (April 22).

The investigation is ongoing.
