Police are investigating after a deceased male was found outside a residence on Valley Road in Kawartha Lakes.

On Tuesday (April 21), Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a 9-1-1 call at a residence on Valley Road. When they arrived, officers found a deceased male outside. 

With the help of the OPP’s Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT), a suspect was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing but at this time, police do not believe there is a public safety concern. Police have classified this as a homicide investigation.
