Township flags lowered to honour victims of Nova Scotia shooting

Brock Township has lowered its flags to half-staff to honour the victims of a mass shooting in Nova Scotia over the weekend.

At least 19 people were killed during a 12-hour rampage that Saturday (April 18) night in the small community of Portapique. The gunman moved through other communities in the area before being shot and killed by officers Enfield, about 90 kms away.

“Our thoughts and prayers from all residents of Brock Township go to all those affected by this senseless tragedy” said Mayor Debbie Bath-Hadden.
