Pair charged in Lindsay after man allegedly stabbed, struck in head

Two men are facing charges following an alleged assault in Lindsay over the weekend.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police, a fight erupted between a group of people inside an apartment on Lindsay Street North in Lindsay around 3:15 a.m. on Friday (April 10).

“During the incident, one man suffered a stab wound and was also struck in the head with a blunt object,” reads a media release.

“The victim was able to leave the apartment and was later taken to a hospital by paramedics for treatment of serious injuries.”

Two men were charged in relation to the incident Wednesday (April 15).

Michael Thomas, 25, of Lindsay has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, aggravated assault and failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.

Anthony Lorne Dorsey, 39, of Toronto has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.

Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing Thursday (April 16).
