Three men charged after police stop vehicle in Lindsay

Three men are facing charges after a vehicle was stopped in Lindsay Tuesday (April 14) afternoon.

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigation Branch stopped a vehicle travelling on Lindsay Street South around 12:45 p.m.

“The vehicle contained four men, two of whom were wanted on the strength of outstanding arrest warrants. Officers arrested the two wanted men,” reads a media release.

“Following his arrest, one of the two wanted men was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine.  Further investigation revealed that a third passenger in the vehicle was in possession of a controlled substance and a weapon.”

Michael James Martin, 37, has been charged with three counts of failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.

Jonathan Cecil Young, 35, has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, being unlawfully at large, failing to attend court and failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.

Adam Paul Hall, 41, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with the conditions of his recognizance.

All three are slated to appear in Lindsay court on June 18.
