The body of a 31-year-old man missing since July of 2019 has been located by police.
According to the Durham Regional Police, the body of Ben Everson was discovered on March 29 in the area of Davis Drive and Regional Road 1 in Uxbridge.
“Testing done by the Centre of Forensic Sciences confirmed that it was the missing male. There were no signs of foul play,” reads a media release from police.
Everson was last seen leaving the residence of a family member in Uxbridge on July 11 last year and had not been heard from since.
“I will never know his warm hugs or see his beautiful smile again. For the last 8 months I never gave up hope and now I have to learn how to live life without him. My love for him will never end,” reads a social media post from his mother, Kim.
“A celebration of life will be held at a later date. I thank everyone for all your help and support through this nightmare. Your kindness meant the world to me and my family. Ben is at peace.”
