Police, firefighters and paramedics responded to a house fire on Young Street, near Sebright, Wednesday (March 25) morning.

According to the OPP, the call came in shortly after 8:30 a.m.

“Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP responded to the call and are currently on scene with members of the Kawartha Lakes Fire Department and Kawartha Lakes Paramedic services. The Ontario Fire Marshalls office has been contacted and will be attending the scene,” a media release reads.

“Young Street is currently not accessible to vehicles due to the presence of emergency service vehicles.”
