Man loses consciousness after snowmobile flips on Lake Simcoe

One person reportedly lost consciousness after flipping his snowmobile on Lake Simcoe, according to Brock Township Fire Chief Rick Harrison.

Chief Harrison says the individual was unconscious for five to seven minutes and was driven back to shore by emergency responders. Upon examination, he was found not to have any injuries and was therefore not taken to hospital.

A social media post from Ramara Fire and Emergency Services around 5 p.m. noted that firefighters were en route to a location on the lake near Thorah Island.

Chief Harrison says crews have now cleared the scene.
