Two charged with impaired driving after leaving restaurant in Fenelon Falls area

Two motorists have been charged with impaired driving in Kawartha Lakes.

According to police, officers received a call related to a concern that two patrons departing a restaurant in the Fenelon Falls area were intending to drive while intoxicated around 11 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 11).

“Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP patrolled the Fenelon Falls area and did locate the two vehicles that had departed the restaurant earlier in the evening,” reads a media release.

“One vehicle was stopped on Princess Street West while the other was located on Albert Street. The two separate vehicle stops led to the arrest of each driver.”

Michelle McCullum, 41, of Verulam Township, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

She is slated to appear in Lindsay court on March 12.

Krystal Thibadeau, 34, of Trent Lakes, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

She is slated to appear in Lindsay court on March 19.
