Lindsay man charged with impaired driving following collision

A 19-year-old man from Lindsay is facing impaired driving charges following a collision.

According to police, a vehicle travelling on Colborne Street West in Lindsay struck a parked vehicle before veering across the street and becoming stuck in a snowbank on Sunday (Feb. 2).

“The driver of vehicle was watched by witnesses until a Kawartha Lakes Police Service officer arrived to investigate,” reads a media release.

“The officer spoke with the driver and arrested him after determining the driver was impaired.”

Liam Ryan has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 0.08.

He is slated to appear in Lindsay court on March 5.
