Four Durham Regional Police officers from North Division joined eight other teams for a chilly dip in Lake Scugog during the Polar Plunge in Port Perry.
Csts. Bowers, Schutt, Lasseter and M. Naccarato took a running leap into the frigid water, uniform and all, beside Palmer Park on Saturday (Jan. 25).
The officers were all smiles as they ran from the lake towards a waiting hot tub to get warm.
With the tagline “Freezin’ for a Reason,” the Polar Plunge brought groups together to raise funds for the Lakeridge Health Port Perry Hospital Auxiliary Fund. DRPS and the DRPA joined together to make a donation to the charity.
