A Ramara Township man has been charged following a child pornography investigation by the OPP.
According to police, the investigation got underway in December 2019 based on information received from an outside agency involved in child protection.
Officers executed a search warrant at a home in the township Thursday (Jan. 23) and reportedly seized digital devices that are currently being examined.
Derek MacDonald, 25, of Ramara has been arrested and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of make available child pornography.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing and has since been released on a recognizance, police say.
He is slated to appear in Orillia court on Feb. 18.
