Two people sustained serious injuries and have been taken to hospital – including one via air ambulance – following a single-vehicle collision in Whitby Thursday (Jan. 23) morning.
While few details have been released, the DRPS noted on social media that the incident occured at the intersection of Thickson Road and Consumers Drive.
“One male pedestrian struck after a vehicle struck a pole. Passenger of car to be airlifted shortly. Pedestrian taken to local hospital,” the post reads.
A subsequent posts notes that both suffered serious injuries.
The intersection is currently closed for a police investigation.
