A Sunderland man is facing charges following an alleged break-in at a Lindsay business.
According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, an officer patrolling the area of Greenfield Road in Lindsay during the early morning hours of Wednesday (Jan. 22) discovered an audible alarm sounding from a nearby business and a man attempting to leave the area.
“After stopping the man to investigate, the officer discovered that the man had attempted to force his way into the closed business,” reads a media release.
“The man was arrested and found to be in possession of a controlled substance.”
Andrew McFadden, 38, of Sunderland has been charged with obstructing a peace officer, break and enter, mischief to property and possession of a controlled substance.
He is slated to appear in Lindsay court on Feb. 27.
