Man charged with impaired driving after allegedly leaving scene of accident in Lindsay

A man is facing impaired driving charges after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident in Lindsay Tuesday (Jan. 21).

According to the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, a motorist contacted officers after witnessing a vehicle collide with a large truck on Albert Street South in Lindsay.

“The vehicle that caused the collision did not stop at the scene and was followed by the caller to the outskirts of Lindsay,” reads a media release.

“Because of substantial damage to the front of the suspect vehicle, other callers contacted police as they observed the damaged vehicle travel back into Lindsay.”

Officers were able to locate the vehicle and arrest the driver.

Joshua Tate Boddison, 34, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and operation while prohibited.

He’s scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Feb. 27.
