An Oshawa man is facing numerous charges after allegedly attempting to flee from police during a traffic stop.
According to police, officers attempted to stop a vehicle that failed to stop at a red light on Highway 7 at approximately 10:50am on Tuesday (Jan. 14).
“Investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen from Durham Region. The vehicle fled from police but was not pursued due to concern for public safety. The vehicle was eventually stopped in the Municipality of Trent Hills,” reads a media release.
Hakeem McIntosh, 22, has been charged with two counts of fail to stop at red light, two counts of flight from peace officer, two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and drive motor vehicle – perform stunt.
