Richard (Dick) Dudley Porteous

Sept 22, 1930 – January 13, 2020

Passed in his 90th year at BGH peacefully surrounded by loved ones. His beautiful wife Joan passed on in 2011 after 57 years of marriage. He lived a full life with his career as a Mechanical Engineer at Trent Valley Board Mill and always improving his home of over 30 years on beautiful Bridge Street East. The ‘Off Hand Manor’ was always filled with love and laughter. Their weekends spent boating in the Bay of Quinte and vacations around the world were a passion of his and Joan’s.

Survived by Sherry and Scott Rudy, Brad and Nereza Porteous Scott Porteous, Vicki Bruce and partner Craig Pinto. His grandchildren Jocelyn Maracle, Benjamin Porteous, Kirstie Barr, Kyle Porteous, Trevor Bruce, Nicole Bruce, Great-grandchildren Hailey, Mila and Nora will all miss him dearly. A private celebration of life will be held in the Spring where he can enjoy his love of the water with his family.
