A Brock Township man and one from Minden have been arrested in relation to the theft of vehicles.
According to the OPP, officers were dispatched to a business on Murphy Road in Orillia shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 14) following reports of a vehicle that had just been stolen.
“Police attended the area shortly after the call was received and observed the stolen vehicle at another business at the corner of Murphy Road and Highway 12. The suspects had left the vehicle and fled on foot,” reads a media release.
Several other units – including K9 and forensic identification – were called in to assist with the investigation.
“Police interviewed several witnesses and were able to locate two suspects in connection with this theft. Through the investigation it was determined that the pair had also stolen a vehicle from the Minden area,” the media release reads.
