Social media campaign raises more than $1,300 for food bank

An online fundraising campaign once again collected a holiday bounty for the Brock Community Food Bank.

For the fourth straight year, PeggyLee McLean – the administrator of Facebook page Beaverton Treasure Finds – called on the community’s support and raised more than $1,300 through online auctions and donations.

Along with close to $300 in cash, McLean also recently dropped off nearly 1,700 pounds of food items, household goods and toiletries.
