An Oshawa man is facing charges after allegedly driving the wrong way on Highway 115 early Monday (Jan. 13).
According to the OPP, officers from the detachments in both Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough responded to a traffic complaint shortly after midnight.
“At approximately 12:03 a.m. the OPP received a traffic complaint indicating that a vehicle was travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 115, near Porter Road,” reads a media release.
The vehicle was located and stopped with the ensuing investigation resulting in the arrest of the driver, police say.
Michael St. Cyr, 53, has been charged with dangerous operation and operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
He is slated to appear in Peterborough court on March 5.
