A Beaverton restauranteur and the village’s Lions Club delivered quite the Christmas gift for the Brock Community Food Bank.

Real Desnoyers of the Cedar Point Market Restaurant made a donation of $3,000 to the food bank, while the Lions contributed $2,000 – the proceeds of the club’s annual Christmas tree sale.

Desnoyers is retiring as of Sunday (Dec. 29) and made his largest donation to the food bank to date. A retirement party in his honour is slated to run from 4 to 8 p.m. at the restaurant.
