
A Kawartha Lakes man is facing impaired driving charges following a collision on Saturday (Dec. 14).
According to police, officers were called to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 35, near Powles Road.
“Upon arrival on scene, the investigation determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol,” reads a media release.
Barry Nicholas, 25, has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
He is scheduled to appear in Lindsay court on Jan. 16.
