DRPS officers have made the rounds in Brock Township to help spread some holiday cheer to seniors.
Officers stopped at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton and Bon Air in Cannington on Dec. 6, as well as a visit to Dre’s Lodge in Sunderland on Thursday (Dec. 12).
Now in its tenth year, the outreach program sees officers bring gifts as they stop in to chat with residents of long-term care homes.
“Many seniors are alone during the holidays and front-line DRP officers want to remind them they are valued and important members of our community,” reads a media release.
Prior to the stops in Beaverton and Cannington, officers baked cookies with students at Brock High School.
