Ramara resident charged after traffic stop in Kawartha Lakes

A man from Ramara Township is charged with a number of offences after a traffic stop in Kawartha Lakes.

On Wednesday (Dec. 11), police say a vehicle was seen travelling at a high rate of speed on Kirkfield Road, leading officers to stop the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Michael Hajba, 39, of Ramara Township was charged with speeding, driving while under suspension, using a plate not authorized for the vehicle and failing to have an insurance card.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on February 4.
