Santa Claus is gearing up for his trip to Sunderland this weekend, the final parade stop in Brock Township for the year.
The village’s annual Santa Claus parade is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 14) and organizers are expecting upwards of three dozen entries.
As always, residents and visitors are asked to refrain from parking along the parade route, which includes portions of Park, Doble, James, Cedar, Water, Jones, Maple, River and Albert streets.
Those taking part are asked to gather at the arena no later than 6:30 p.m.
To pre-register, contact Joan Down at email@example.com or 705-357-3852.
The Township of Brock has sponsored free public skating at the arena from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Members of council will also be collecting donations – food items as well as cash – for the Brock Community Food Bank.
Some local merchants will also be taking part in a holiday open house throughout the evening.
