Brooks Farms will be open for business Thursday (Dec. 5), mere hours after a fire levelled a building on the property.
Firefighters spent all of the previous evening battling the blaze that engulfed the “party barn” at the popular destination near Mount Albert.
The business noted that the fire was almost extinguished in a social media post around midnight.
“Open for business tomorrow morning at the farm market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We really are grateful for your support during our Christmas season,” it concludes.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
“Everyone is safe. Large fire at the farm. Can’t get to all the messages. Please spread the word we are all okay,” reads a previous post from the business.
“Our fire department are on the scene of a barn fire at Brooks Farms. I have heard from Kelly that everyone is safe. It is one of the old barns not the new farm market. Please keep the Brooks family and our emergency responders in your thoughts tonight as they deal with this barn fire,” added Uxbridge Mayor Dave Barton.
Brooks Farms also shared a video of the fire on social media (see below).
