
A Georgina man has been charged with impaired driving following a collision in Peterborough County.
According to police, officers were called around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 30).
“The uninjured driver was found to be under the influence of drugs,” reads a media release from police.
Mitchell Phillips, 24, (age 24) was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
He is scheduled to appear in Peterborough court on Jan. 2.
“The Peterborough County OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements,” the media release reads.
